The Sun the Source of Life ?

Man is represented by the sun in a patriarchal world where the sun rules everything. Man is depicted as the intellect whereas the woman is depicted as nature and the earth. But it is significant that all the "mother earth" looks to the sun, the sun god who with his intellect and world of ideas controls the nature, guides and rules the world. All the eyes are looking to the leader and the earth moves around the sun. Some hands are trying to take the sun, maybe to just touch it like humans trying to understanding God: We look to the sky searching for God and want to touch it because humans believe in their supremacy and want to feel the power, to rule.

But the title has a question mark ? "The Sun the Source of Life?" and this question is represented by one eye in the nature, the eye that doesn’t look to the sun or the God, the one with the doubt who turns his eye to the earth, to the nature and to the women and wondering, maybe the sun god is not the source of life?... The drawing is telling us we must look to the earth and nature, where we can find god, we can find the truth and the source of life!!!!!!!

An interesting theory put forward by a student of art and philosophy, probably very near to Norman's thoughts at the time he drew this work.
